As the leading industrial and commercial concrete specialist of Northeastern Ohio, Porter Foundations is referred to as "The Form Contractor" by local engineers and architects. From Press Pits to Design-Build Machine Foundations, we set the industry standard for quality work. Established in 1985, David Porter, Sr. began his business, D.J. Porter Company, by constructing concrete foundation holding tanks for General Motors. His portfolio would soon expand with additional form projects including waste water treatment plants and private/public commercial buildings. As David's reputation continued to grow, he passed his extensive knowledge to his sons, David Porter, Jr. and Tom Porter, as he would eventually retire a long and successful career. In 2012, his youngest son, Tom Porter, took leadership of the company, changing it's name to Porter Foundations, LLC. At this time, Tom had accomplished the difficult feat of obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from a nationally ranked program, Kent State University, at the age of 49. While continuing to maintain the values that his father has instilled in him, Tom uses his education and 30+ years of hands on experience to provide the highest quality of work within industrial and commercial settings. The Porter family’s insistence on quality of service, hard work, and responsiveness to clients' needs remains the company's belief and has led to their success in a competitive industry.
