About Portland State Professional Sound

PSPS has been involved in bringing music to campus for almost 40 years. Since our founding we’ve grown, gone dormant, helped start KPSU and slowly morphed into the group we are now. Today, PSPS is a collection of students dedicated to bringing music to campus and then making sure it sounds as good as possible. We don’t stop at music either, wherever amplified sound can benefit students we and our speakers want to be there. So whether it’s a cultural showcase, a guest lecture or just a dance party with a DJ, if you need professional sound and lighting services on campus give us a call. We function as a hands-on training ground for individuals interested in the live sound industry, while saving PSU students tremendous amounts of money and hassle dealing with private-sector production companies. We are a student fee-funded group, offering paid positions for student technicians hoping to learn about professional audio and lighting
