About Portrait Homes

Bruno and Tony Pasquinelli, sons of Italian immigrants, had the knowledge and the expertise. They just didn’t have the resources. The brothers approached their parents for help, telling of their aspirations to start their own company. After listening to their sons, Bruno and Tony’s parents agreed to lend them a significant portion of the family’s life savings to get their new business off the ground. They only had one condition: “Put our family’s name on your company. Make us proud.” The company started with a single house on a single lot. 50 years later, Pasquinelli and Portrait homes is one of the largest privately owned homebuilding companies in the nation. To date, we’ve built over 45,000 homes in 13 different metro areas. And the company keeps on growing. With second and third generations helping to carry on the legacy, Pasquinelli and Portrait homes continues to operate under the skilled guidance of 12 family members. For us, our company is not simply a matter of business. It’s a matter of pride. That’s why we continue to go the distance to make sure that every one of our homes is constructed of the highest quality materials, using only the most skilled contractors and trusted techniques.
