About Portugal Film Commission
A Portugal Film Commission foi criada pela Resolução de Conselho de Ministros n.º 85/2019, de 31/05, com prorrogação pela RCM n.º 70/2022, de 11/08, cujo mandato terminou a 31/12/22. O Decreto – Lei n.º 13/2023, de 24/02 integra a PFC no Instituto do Cinema e Audiovisual, I.P. (ICA, I.P.) e pretende-se que a PFC continue a reportar a sua atividade aos membros do Governo responsáveis pelas áreas da Cultura e do Turismo. Tem como objetivos principais: - A promoção de sinergias entre as indústrias criativas e o turismo. - Proporcionar visibilidade ao destino Portugal e à melhoria da experiência turística. - A afirmação de Portugal como um destino internacional de filmagens. - A articulação com as film commissions regionais, a rede diplomática, as associações e empresas do setor. Atualmente, a PFC é membro da AFCI – Association of Film Commissioners International e da EUFCN — European Film Commission Network. The Portugal Film Commission was created by Resolution of the Council of Ministers n.º 85/2019, published on 31/05, extended by RCM n.º 70/2022, on 11/08, whose term ended on 31/12/22. Decree-Law no. 13/2023 of 24/02 integrates the PFC into the Instituto do Cinema e Audiovisual, I.P. (ICA, I.P.) and it’s intended that the PFC will continue to report its activity to members of the Government responsible for the areas of Culture and Tourism. PFC’s main objectives are: - Promoting synergies between the creative industries and tourism. - Providing visibility to Portugal as a destination and improving the tourist experience. - Affirming Portugal as an international filming destination. - Communicate with regional film commissions, the diplomatic network and industry association and companies. PFC is currently a member of the AFCI – Association of Film Commissioners International and EUFCN — European Film Commission Network.
