About Positive Results Center
Our Mission is to create culturally specific awareness to prevent and end trauma resulting from domestic violence/intimate partner violence and sexual assault by helping people develop healthy relationships. We Visualize A World In Which All People Are Safe And Free From Violence In Their Homes. Our core areas of focus: Youth & Leadership Development; Peer Advocacy; Violence Awareness & Prevention; Art Healing; Mental and Emotional Wellness; Professional Development; Community Outreach; Victim/Survivor Support, and Engagement. We conduct arts-based awareness and prevention programs targeting Black/African American, Hispanic / Latinx, Indigenous youth, young adults, and families. We focus on at-risk, low income, or prior engagement with the justice system to address intergenerational violence, abuse, and trauma, resulting in health disparities to improve overall equity for historically marginalized and underserved communities of Color. Our programs cultivate self-esteem, leadership, communication, and creative skills of youth and young adults. We provide them with tools, a platform, and encouragement to elevate their voices to speak their truth. We support them to collaboratively imagine and design a world where more people can thrive, heal, feel safe, and access their dreams. Our Culturally Specific and Sensitive training to youth-serving organizations serving communities of Color creates awareness. It provides prevention education and healing strategies on trauma related to dating, domestic and intimate partner violence, sexual assault, stalking, bullying, suicide, etc., and gun violence. Target audience: Children 4 – 11; Youth 11 -15; Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) 16 – 25; and adults. We support everyone, regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation. Positive Results Center, aka PRC, formally known as The Positive Results Corporation has been in business since 1993.
