Our interactive, classroom sessions helping children behave better on social media have generated thousands of commitments to change. Rather than telling students they shouldn’t be on social media, we believe they should be shown how to handle it positively and constructively, giving them the 'permission' to use it differently. Our team of experienced schools workers deliver sessions across England and teachers say they have seen a drop in social media-related issues after we go in. Eight thousand students have so far gone through our sessions. Positive Social was created by the team from award-winning social media consultancy, Status Social and carried out its first pilot in 2015, registering as a charity in 2020. We also run sessions for parents, teachers and youth workers - equipping them to deal with social media challenges. We rely on business people like you to fund our sessions, which are free for Year 7s/8s and at a lower price for other year groups to make them accessible for as many children as possible.
