Possilpark Peoples Trust is a community development trust, formed in 2017 to provide a community led vehicle for the regeneration of Possilpark in Glasgow. The Trust was established following the development of a Community Regeneration Plan, prepared following an extensive period of engagement with the community and relevant public, voluntary and private sector partners. The Plan identified several key priorities to address the social, economic and environmental needs of the area including tackling chronic poverty levels, increasing life chances and wellbeing and providing better opportunities for all residents in the area. The number one priority was for the need for a new Community Facility to provide a base for groups and organisations to meet and deliver an enhanced range of services and activities to improve life chances and to support the regeneration of Possilpark.
