About POV

The consensus among diverse and often marginalized creative workers is that 'who you know' is critical to obtaining paid employment. Underrepresented creatives face the double bind of having to confront systemic and structural barriers while being continually excluded from the TV & Film industry due to expensive and outdated training, irrelevant social capital and exclusion from industry networks POV’s mission is to educate, connect and support young people from traditionally underrepresented communities to develop their talent and creative passion into successful careers in the TV & Film production industry. POV provides free training, mentorship and paid jobs to talented young people, who are driven and have a desire to work in the TV and film production industry but lack the relevant work experience and financial means to pursue their passion and to build it into a career. We reach youth who are stuck in this cycle and don't have technical know how or the social capital needed to break into the industry To help break this cycle, POV offers three programs: 1. Media Training Program 2.
