PPB Group Berhad (PPB) was incorporated in 1968, and is an investment holding and property investment company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the Malaysian stock exchange. Today, PPB is a conglomerate with total assets and market capitalisation of RM28.93 billion and RM24.81 billion respectively as at 31 December 2022. PPB is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and has operations in China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore with about 4,900 employees in the Malaysian operations. Our businesses are principally divided into five business segments: - Grains & Agribusiness (FFM Group) - Consumer Products (FFM Group) - Film Exhibition and Distribution (Golden Screen Cinemas Sdn. Bhd.) - Property (PPB Hartabina Sdn. Bhd., PPB Property Development Sdn. Bhd.) - Investment & other operations PPB has long been established. On 1st November 1968 Perlis Plantations Berhad was incorporated with the purpose of helping to establish a local sugar cane industry in the country in response to the Government’s plans. In 1972, Perlis Plantations Berhad was listed on the Stock Exchange of Malaysia and Singapore, and remains listed on the Malaysian Stock Exchange to this day. In 1976, the organisation started its diversification programme so as not to depend on a single business and today has business units in various industries such as grains and agribusiness, consumer products, film exhibition and distribution and property. In 2000, the name was changed from Perlis Plantations Berhad to PPB Group Berhad, to reflect the Group’s diversified operations.
