About PPLive
PPTV, developed by PPLive, is a leading online TV service offering both live streaming and video-on-demand of TV programs/shows, movies, drama, sports, news and entertainment video contents. The service is accessible on multiple devices, including PC (either from its website or from client software installation), Mac, mobile (iPhone, Android phone), pad (iPad, Android Pad), SmartTV and Set Top Box. Programs PPTV programs are targeted at Chinese speaking audiences. Known for its live streaming capabilities, PPTV covers over 120 TV Chinese stations, 300 live channels and 20,000 VOD (video-on-demand) channels throughout China. Categories include live TV programs/shows, movies, TV drama and some specialties covering sports, news, game shows etc. Most available programs are in Mandarin, Cantonese or Korean. There is also an increasing number of programs in English, such as Hollywood blockbuster movies and popular American or Korean TV shows. PPTV has recently extended its program to cover live streaming of many live events, including Hunan Super Girl show, China Talent show, Auto show. PPTV has also invested in producing online drama (made specially for internet audience) in cooperation of other media groups and studios.
