Established in 2015 in the heart of the Canadian Prairies, Prairie Fava is holistically integrated throughout the food system and owning leadership at the most important moments: in ensuring the right fava seeds are developed, and in creating on-shelf products to build consumer credibility and trust plus a reliable market for farmers. Prairie Fava is shortening the supply chain and owning more of it: • working with partners who are developing the best fava seeds for farmers, • forging crucial partnerships in creating ongoing & reliable demand, • adapting processing methods to meet food makers’ needs and, • crafting our own direct-to-shelf products that prove out fava’s value and popularity Prairie Fava planted the seed; now we’re rolling up our sleeves to take on everything that follows to ensure success, building a future that includes everyone—consumers, food manufacturers, the ag industry.
