About Pre-Med Bridge Mentorship

Pre-Med Bridge is a nonprofit virtual mentorship program that connects high school seniors and college underclassmen with upperclassmen and medical students. Our mission is to guide aspiring healthcare professionals, especially those from underserved or underrepresented backgrounds, through the early stages of their pre-medical journey. Founded by Hugo Moebel, a first-generation American college graduate from Texas A&M, Pre-Med Bridge was created out of a desire to help students avoid the uncertainty and missteps that often come with navigating college and medical school preparation alone. Having experienced those challenges firsthand, Hugo built this program to offer the mentorship he wished he had. Through free, online one-on-one mentorship, students gain personalized advice on choosing classes, applying to college and medical school, managing stress, and discovering pre-health resources. Mentors meet with mentees for 30 minutes every two weeks or one hour a month, providing support tailored to the mentee’s goals and schedule. Our program values accessibility, flexibility, and community. All meetings are held via Zoom, with mentors and mentees choosing the times that work best for them. By matching students with mentors who have recently walked the same path, we foster a space where guidance feels personal and empowering. At Pre-Med Bridge, we believe that no student should have to navigate their path to medicine alone. With the proper support, every aspiring doctor can take confident steps toward their future.
