Those who consume fast fashion often want to make better choices but are torn between principles and a desire for self expression when doing so. The tipping point – price. Precious has created a link between everyday fashion and high fashion so that everyone, no matter their budget, can make better choices, wearing their principles on their backs. Precious Collaborative aims to change that. We are creating a path to sustainable fashion. It is a new solution that allows the best of fashion to support a more accessible future for those consumers caught in the fast fashion loop. ~ One to many, so many can have just one ~ Collaborating with exceptional New Zealand designers, we will create individual signature fashion pieces – timeless woolen coats with elevated design – transformed by the designer into a piece of art and then sold at the cost of a precious one-off taoka (treasure). The funds from the sale of the unique coats will subsidize a range of ready-to-wear timeless clothing items priced for everyday consumers; items for everyday use that communicate quality and stand the test of time. The goal is ‘fewer, better’ – the imperative is to create a cultural shift, where every item counts, no matter your budget.
