Precious Moments and Health Ltd is a private company that provide Counselling and Mentoring to adults, adolescents and children. The aim is to use the person-centred approach to help individuals to deal more effectively with their inner thoughts, feelings and ultimately behaviour. We work with adults, families, schools, colleges, GP surgeries, CAMHS, children’s services, youth offending services, children and young people within the community. However, the company specialises in working with children in care, fostering and adoption, and supporting their placements in order to try and stabilise the children's emotions and behaviours where necessary. In addition, Precious Moments and Health Ltd provide training to organisations in relation to training their staff in supporting vulnerable families, young people and children. We also deliver ASDAN short courses to support young people’s educational progress and improve their self-esteem. As Integrative Counsellors, Precious Moments and Health Ltd may use a variety of therapeutic interventions to suit the client's needs, which may include elements of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Creative Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy to help individuals manage their anxieties and emotional issues better in order to maintain their personal well-being. As Mentors, Precious Moments and Health Ltd uses the Solution-Focused Brief Therapy model to provide support to children/ young people and their parent/carers. The mentors have experience working with vulnerable children and young people within and outside of the care system.
