Precious Plastic Amman is a plastic recycling workspace that was established to educate the local community about plastic recycling while empowering Arab women and alleviating the environmental plastic crisis. Primary Goals: • Educate the Jordanian public, businesses and youth on plastic waste and how to recycle it through workshops, events and classes. • Empower young women with the knowledge and the technology to recycle plastic while creating employment opportunities • Run small productions (in the thousands) of products to be sold locally, distributed as giveaways at educational and marketing events or sold to local businesses and international markets. • Become the Precious Plastic reference for the MENA region. Precious Plastic Amman workspace – Jaba al Nathif • A Community Point where people interested in plastic recycling in Jordan can meet and collaborate. • A recycling workspace to run productions and recycle plastic. • The place to test workshops and train staff/volunteers. • The studio/office to design, manage and market the project. • A cultural space for presentations and workshops.
