About Preferred Power Products
Preferred Power Products was founded by Paul Davidsson who has been in the “High Power, RF & Microwave” industry since 1972. Paul Davidsson started his career at “Microwave Power Devices” (MPD) which later became a M/A-COM company in 1978. Paul has over 15 years as an innovator, designing Solid-State, High Power Amplifiers and developing manufacturing processes that are still in use today. In 1986, Paul went on as founder and president of “ RF Power Components, Inc.” who’s charter was to service the High Power Passive component industry. Paul and his vision grew the company to over 100 employees and became a worldwide supplier of high power Couplers, Divider/Combiners, Resistors, Terminations, Attenuators and specialized higher level components. The company was then sold to ANAREN Microwave in 2000. Paul has since set up divisions for MITEQ, Inc., Johanson Manufacturing & Crane Aerospace. Paul joined EMC/Florida RF Labs (Smiths Microwave) by year 2011 and served as V.P. of Engineering through mid-2015. He then establish Preferred Power Products. Paul's vast experience in design, processing and materials has inspired him to form this new innovative company along with his wife Gabriella who is a seasoned RF/Microwave EE. The goal to fill the gaps in the industry where potential customers are in need of new vibrant, reliable products to replace existing components with the latest processes and materials that are now available and to collapse the high cost of manufacturing these products.
