About Preflight Aviation Camp

PreFlight is a summer camp for girls that uses aviation to transform their beliefs about gender roles, increase their self-esteem, and inspire them to become pilots! Just like a pilot must perform a “preflight” before they can takeoff in their airplane, our camp is a girl’s “preflight” into aviation. Activities conducted at PreFlight range from hands-on aviation experiments and team-building exercises, to piloting a simulator and flying an airplane with one of our female instructors! Our STEM based approach for teaching young girls aviation is a one-of-a-kind transformative experience, which only PreFlight can offer. Seeing is believing and by placing young girls in an enriching environment, surrounded by female aviators and role models, they begin to believe that becoming a pilot is a real possibility for their lives. PreFlight Aviation Camp will not only transform beliefs about gender roles, but will inspire young girls to takeoff into their future!
