Premier Textiles is one of Europe’s leading importers of fabrics, yarns and finished fabrics, sourced from around the globe. The independent family owned Premier Textiles group is a textile trader, converter and textiles solutions provider. The group was founded in 1981 in Manchester by Mathew Kallumpram and is now owned and operated by second and third generations of the Kallumpram family. Mathew’s son Ashok Kallumpram is the Managing Director. The group’s three core companies are Premier Textiles, Premier Digital Textiles and Premex Solutions. Bancroft Soft Furnishings, acquired in 1994, is also part of the group which in total employs 40 people. Stocking over 5 million linear metres of fabric at any given time, Premier Textiles’ growth has enabled the group to invest in more than 50,000 sq ft of modern warehousing space across two sites in the UK - Stockport and Bury. In 2022, Premier Textiles became the sole owner of Premex Solutions, prompting the opening of a new 10,000 sq ft warehouse in Atlanta, to service the growing demand of the digital print ready fabric market in North America. Our mission is to remain at the forefront of innovation, which is driven by investment in our team, real value partnerships with customers and suppliers and responsibly taking care of our planet. We want to use our global trading experience and technical textile skills to find solutions for bespoke textile products and work in partnership with key customers. We see textile solutions as being the most important part of our business in future years, particularly in the area of sustainability solutions.
