Since 1994, Preston Domestic Violence Services (PDVS) has stood beside survivors of domestic abuse — offering not only specialist support, but hope, safety, and a pathway to healing. We are a small, community-rooted charity with a powerful purpose: to ensure that every individual in Preston affected by domestic violence is seen, heard, and supported. Our services are free, confidential, and led by trained, trauma-responsive professionals who understand the courage it takes to reach out. Every day, more people turn to us from survivors in crisis, professionals seeking guidance to individuals and families desperate for safety. We aim to do this in the following ways: Safety without delay – where every survivor has immediate access to the support they need; Strength in unity – by working hand-in-hand with police, schools, healthcare, and local services; Prevention with purpose – embedding education, awareness, and early intervention across the community; Support that lasts – through sustained investment in our staff, volunteers, and survivor-led recovery pathways; Impact that inspires – showing what’s possible when a city truly commits to dignity, equality, and healing. PDVS is more than a service. We are a movement for change and a network of resilience, compassion, and action.
