About Pricing Carbon Initiative

The Pricing Carbon Initiative (PCI) is a network of stakeholders spanning the political spectrum who are committed to identifying and implementing transformational climate solutions. As the political discourse in the United States polarizes, nonpartisan forums that encourage candor and trust are more important than ever. For over a decade, PCI has been building bonds of trust among thought leaders representing a broad range of environmental, business, labor and social justice groups and think tanks from across the political spectrum. We have been connecting them with tools, strategies, information, and perhaps most importantly, with each other. Several times a year, PCI facilitates both public conversations with key policy makers as well as private, Chatham House Rule discussions that center on carbon pricing policies. These conversations focus mostly at the national level, but also keep up with international and state-based developments. For many of our regular participants, ours is the only forum where they engage in substantive bipartisan discussions.
