Owned and operated by husband and wife team Cindy & Ed Moura, this quirky spot was named for their large Prickly Pear native cactus garden, prominently located in their own home front yard adjacent to the Prickly Ed’s drop in shopping Roadside Emporium. The native cactus is one of hundreds of varieties of native plants thriving in their multi-acre wildscape. They carry the largest selection of Northeast Native Plants in the region and fill special orders large and small. But the focus of Prickly Ed’s is not just to sell plants, it’s to seed change. They aim to help people break free of “lawn and order” and transform the spaces outside their doors into thriving habitats that invite nature back home and reconnect people of all ages to the natural world.
