About Primary Care Diabetes Society of Australia
The Primary Care Diabetes Society of Australia (PCDSA) is a Society of health practitioners with an interest in primary care diabetes in Australia. The Society was established in 2015 and is a not-for-profit organisation. There are over one million people in Australia who have been diagnosed with diabetes. The majority of these people will receive their health care in the primary care setting. Australia has a number of organisations representing parts of the diabetes therapeutic community; all are vitally important in their own right but none represent the multidisciplinary nature of diabetes in primary care. The overarching mission of the PCDSA is to support primary health care professionals to deliver high-quality clinically effective care, in order to improve the lives of people living with diabetes.
