Primary Enterprise World offers an exciting new way to learn and develop the skills that young people need in today’s society. It is imperative that students develop a knowledge of the world of work at an early age. Combined with an understanding of how to budget, is key to facilitating a more positive outlook on their future. Through interactivity of the sessions and real life experiences they gain a positive attitude for life and work which will hopefully allow them to go on to greater personal success. Through Corporate volunteering we work in partnership with local businesses as we feel that it is really important to set learning in a “real-life” context and for pupils to learn how society works. Our programmes are interactive, engaging and allow pupils to work with business people who can share their expertise and knowledge. We aim to: ⚫ Work with businesses to recruit volunteers as part of their CSR plan ⚫ Raise literacy standards and enhance the curriculum in English, Maths, Geography and PHSE. ⚫ Support elements of spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of students. ⚫ Improve confidence and self-belief in young people. ⚫ Foster positive attitudes in young people. ⚫ Identify employability “soft” skills ⚫ Develop knowledge of businesses and Financial literacy Corporate volunteering can be a great way of developing your staffs personal skills whilst helping the youngest members of society to raise aspirations and beliefs.
