About Prisons to Partnerships

We are a small but mighty group of people from a number of different states in the United States, committed to making a positive difference for all those who work and reside inside correctional institutions. We believe that how people are treated who work and reside inside correctional institutions matters more than any of us are aware of, especially given the large number of people who reside in and come out of these institutions daily. We are people who have achieved success in various areas of life by virtue of our careers, education, and families. And as a consequence are committed to giving back. Some of us have been arrested and incarcerated ourselves, so we know first hand what that experience is like. Others of us have worked with staff members, administrators,researchers, and political leaders in criminal justice. Still others have worked and continue to work with nonprofits and for profit companies that support people inside and out. We understand that there must be consequences for people who break the law. The inquiry we are in is what can we do, so those consequences leave all the people involved–perpetrators, victims, and the people who work with them–empowered and hopeful about the future.
