About Pro-Vado Show Stock Innovations

We started almost three years ago with a vision for a powerful, comfortable, cordless set of livestock shears. We teamed up with the University of Dayton (UD)'s Innovation and Design Center in January 2013 to begin the initial design process. Over the course of three years; through endless trial and error, late night think-tank sessions, multiple prototypes and revisions, and rigorous testing, we finally created a product that not only exceeded our expectations, but we crated something we were proud to put our name on. Through every step of the design process, we compared our design with that of current corded shears in weight, length, speed and torque. By mid 2014 we finally had our working prototype, which was comparable in every category with that of traditional corded shears. Except our shears were missing one glaring element - no cord! Our field testing yielded exceptional results, allowing professional shearers to shear a sheep in just under 4 minutes, and battery times clocking in at 25+/- minutes on the 2 AH batteries, and 50+/- minutes on the 6 AH versions!
