Although Procurement PLUS is newly established, the experience and expertise of its Director is extensive and obtained over more than 25 years. This has been gained from working across the Federal, State, Local Government, and Not for Profit sectors. John is a dynamic leader and change agent with the ability to work under pressure on strategic and complex issues and projects. He also has a strong record of stakeholder engagement and relationship management that achieves and delivers positive outcomes. A key achievement over the last 25 years includes the introduction and strengthening of the procurement governance regimes and practices. John has also built up considerable commercial and negotiation experience with a combined estimated contracts value of more than $4b. This level of experience and expertise is readily available through Procurement PLUS. Procurement PLUS will focus on five areas that relate to the provision of procurement products and services: • The delivery of a Procurement Advisory Service and resource kit through an online subscription; • A Contract Development and Management Service that provides support to clients in facilitating the whole, or part of a procurement process from planning stage, through to contract formation and contract management; • Procurement Reviews focusing on ‘Strategic’ or ‘Lite’ versions, as well as targeted Procurement Planning, Tender and Evaluation, and Contract Management reviews; • Industry Information sessions delivered to local businesses on how best to engage in particular with Local and State Government agencies and how to respond to advertised procurement processes; and • Ethical and Accountable Procurement Information sessions provided to small groups on a range of aspects on what constitutes good ethical and accountable behaviour when developing and managing contracts. The key objective of Procurement PLUS is tailoring solutions, building capacity, and managing risk for the client.
