About Product Law Group

Product Law Group's mission is to help clients avoid or resolve legal issues related to their products. Representative matters include: - Advising product manufacturers, importers, and retailers on federal and California requirements applicable to their product portfolios; - Defending enforcement actions brought by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), and California agencies such as the Department of Pesticide Regulation (CDPR), the California Air Resources Board (CARB), the California Energy Commission (CEC), and CalRecycle; - Providing transactional due diligence services to assess opportunities and legal risks presented by a target company's product portfolio; - Preparing comments on proposed agency rules on behalf of clients to advance their business objectives and minimize regulatory burdens; - Developing compliance tools, including communications to suppliers, product specifications, contract terms and indemnities, and supplier certifications; - Assisting clients with facility and product-related registrations, permits, and reporting under the California Department of Justice’s California Controlled Chemicals Program (CCSP), federal and California pesticide regulations, and the Emergency Planning and Right to Know Act (EPCRA); and, - Defending Proposition 65 60-day notices related to alleged exposure to listed chemicals from consumer products.
