PBS was founded by Robert Gold, a banquet bartender himself since 1987, who noticed there was a lack of qualified bartenders and food servers available to work the many diverse events in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. PBS is the premier staffing company for many of the Washington DC area's hotels, caterers, and country clubs with a pool of nearly 250 highly qualified workers. We have also built a great reputation working with event planners, facilities and individuals and can provide 1 or 100 bartenders or servers. Bartenders, wait staff, and supervisors are professionally trained to high PBS standards, offer friendly, personable service, and are fluent in English. We also have staff that is fluent in several other languages as well. At PBS, our motto is "The people that truly provide world-class hospitality services." We know there are many other choices for staffing, but we are confident PBS’s staff are the most professional, friendly and well trained available. Delivering top-shelf bartenders & servers for your banquet needs is our number one goal and we believe our staff delivers! Bartenders are all TIPS Certified (National Training for Intervention Procedures by Servers of Alcohol). This is a dynamic skills based training program designed to prevent intoxication, drunk driving and underage drinking by enhancing the fundamental people skills of servers, sellers and consumers of alcohol. We believe TIPS gives our staff the knowledge and confidence they need to recognize potential alcohol related problems and the ability to intervene to prevent alcohol related accidents. We protect our clients and staff by ensuring all staff is covered by Workmen's Compensation, General Liability Insurance, Umbrella/ Excess Liability Insurance and Liquor Liability Insurance.
