About Profound BV

Profound develops and markets Pile Testing and Geotechnical Monitoring Systems, professional and cost-effective systems for the quality control and quality assurance of foundation piles and other structural components as well as structural monitoring. As a pioneer in the field of foundation pile testing, Profound has been active for almost 50 years and is currently present in more than 40 countries. During this period it developed Sonic Integrity Testing (SIT), Pile Driving Analysis and pile testing methods that are now routinely used around the world. Profound was also instrumental in creating the computer programs to perform signal matching to better evaluate the results of not only pile load testing but also pile integrity testing. In recent years Profound has also focused on the development of specialised geotechnical monitoring systems that simplify long-term and/or continuous structural monitoring. What began in the 1960’s as a small group of the Building and Construction Research Department within the Dutch Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO), is now an independent company. What hasn’t changed during all these years is that Profound continues to serve and supports its clients, not only by providing them with user-friendly systems but also by developing new practical applications in the field of Pile Testing and Geotechnical Monitoring.
