About Project 5K

Project 5K is a non-profit organization created by youths for youths. The founders of Project 5K noticed that many youths want to volunteer, but they don't know where to volunteer. At the same time, there are many events who don't have enough volunteers. That's the reason why Project 5K started; we aim to make volunteering opportunities more easily accessible for youths and connect them to various enjoyable volunteer opportunities to make their community a better place. By signing up for Project 5K, you get volunteering opportunities directly to your email and we make the sign-up process both simple and efficient for both our volunteers and our event partners. Our Mission We are trying to get youths to become inspired, get connected, and volunteer! We're on a mission to help over 5000 participants into our youth empowerment program. Since our initial launch in March 2014, we have established a network of over 1800 participants from over 150 different schools across the Ontario, and our network is still growing at a rapid pace. We keep a private and confidential volunteer database that allows our participants to sign up for volunteering opportunities through our system safely.
