About Project B.U.I.L.D

Through the art of fashion Project B.U.I.L.D. (Beautiful Unique Individuals Learning Discipline) teaches children/teens from the ages of 7-18 how to model, how to choose proper attire, etiquette, speaking presentation, health education, financial literacy, nutrition, fitness and other transferable skills such as organizing, working in teams, and goal accomplishment. The project activities increases the participants’ beliefs in their ability to work within a team, take on leadership roles, and how art can translate into transferable skills that can be used in non-artistic careers and can be applied to school project planning, problem-solving, and social interaction. Finally, the major benefit is that the participants will have pride in their “work” and the accomplishment of putting on an organized presentation/ event/show that will be informative and entertaining for their peers and families.
