About Project Open Hands
Founded in The Bronx by the Rampersaud Family in 2022, we aim to make as many people as possible feel acknowledged, respected, and cared for. Many families don’t have access to kitchens to cook their own food, or don’t have access to cooked meals from their culture. We pride ourselves in preparing and delivering hot, cultural meals to families across New York City. After all, we believe there is nothing quite as comforting as eating the food you grew up on after a long day. We also distribute seasonally appropriate clothing and various personal items such as strollers and sanitary items when needed.
