About Project Restart
Project Restart is a non-profit organization based in Atlanta, GA. The target market of this program are formerly incarcerated adults seeking gainful employment, a continuation in education or training, and/or entrepreneurship training. Over the course of 10-weeks, participants learn how to overcome personal and systematic barriers, how to narrow the scope of interest or aptitude, the steps to entrepreneurship and are then matched with capital and mentors that will facilitate participants with bringing their visions into reality- Since completing the pilot phase of this program in 2020, 100% of participants have been able to move forward with continuing their education or have established a nonprofit or LLC. The objective of Project Restart is to reduce recidivism, which is currently 50% in the state of Georgia, and to increase success outcomes.
