About Project sWish

We use basketball as a vehicle for reducing street violence and providing mental health resources to young people across Chicago. Our programs aim to create a comfortable environment for addressing the mental health challenges faced in communities affected by intense violence. Our flagship program is the Swish League, which is a free basketball league in Chicago's most violent neighborhoods at the highest crime times of the day. We supplement the league with speakers, workshops, and mentorship opportunities for the young people we work with. Our programs are segmented by age, gender, and education level, and we are data-driven when measuring their success. Our partners include Chicago Public Schools, the Chicago Park District, Nike, and the Steve Harvey Foundation.
