About Prominent (Europe)
We are owned by the Itochu Corporation, which is currently the largest trading house in Japan, who provide support for our Far East operations. The original business started with men's formal shirts and we have developed into the market leader in this sector. Over the years, we have evolved into a total Men's Formal wear business with the addition of our Casual division and our Hosiery & Active Wear division. On a contract basis we are a major supplier to the leading high street retailers in the UK, Spain, Italy and France. The services we supply range from initial design and product development through to final store delivery. Some of our UK customers include TM Lewin, Brook Taverner, Next, Amazon, Ted Baker, Topman, River Island, John Lewis, Fat Face, Marks and Spencer and White Stuff. In the UK, we own Chester Barrie, an iconic brand with a worldwide reputation in bespoke tailoring with a flagship store and office in Savile Row, London W1, and have a number of Retail concessions within department stores throughout the UK and Europe. We also hold the licences from Richard James Mayfair and Simon Carter. All of the garments we supply are designed and developed by our dedicated in-house design teams based at our Head Office in Nottingham, Adeline Place London Office and European Head Office in Barcelona. Analysing current and upcoming trends allows them to provide consistently cutting edge fashion designs. Our core ethos is to be a design-led business, also contributing our manufacturing and technical expertise and extensive experience to ensure the continuing success of our customers.
