Properties Direct is a portal dedicated to listing homes currently held in probate in the UK. Through our connections within the legal profession, we have exclusive access to hundreds of homes across the country that need to be disposed of off to satisfy beneficiaries of an estate. When assets are held in probate, it is a costly business for the heirs of someone who has passed away. Not only do they have to deal with the death of a loved one, but also the expense of disposing of any assets they left behind before they can claim their inheritance. Hundreds and thousands of properties are held in probate every year in the UK. Generally, they will go to auction as it is the quickest way of getting a sale on high-value assets. However, there are some downsides to selling homes at auction such as bids not meeting the reserve price leaving the property unsold.
