Prospective Advisors is an innovative investment firm that has evolved to meet the needs of the next generation participants in the dynamic global alternative investment industry. Our firm was built on the co-founders’ more than 30 years’ experience in transaction execution, capital markets, fund structuring & formations across private equity, hard assets, real estate, infrastructure, and credit, coupled with long-standing relationships with decision makers at the world’s most sophisticated and powerful investors. Founded in 2021, Prospective’s core business leverages on success in identifying and advising established and emerging investment talent. Specifically, we marry that talent to the world’s largest institutional investors seeking scale portfolio exposure to targeted assets. These investors tend to seek to operate in a JV, SMA or small club to better tailor their intended exposure in a well-aligned, well-governed and efficient structure. Co-founders Michael Hoffmann and John Murphy shared a long tenure at Probitas Partners, a leading global alternative investment bank where Michael was a co-founder & CEO and John held CFO & COO positions. Ian Hoffmann joined the firm after more than a decade in Singapore where he was allocating private capital globally for the region’s leading university endowment. Outside of our core business, we selectively partner with companies where we share conviction in their vision and success.
