About Protea Properties

At Protea Properties our expertise lies in securing mid to long-term stays for working professionals in our specially located properties in the South West.. We lease properties from landlords on a 3-5 year contract, then we redecorate and furnish these properties to a unique and high standard and advertise them as mid to long-term professional stays for the durantion of the contract. Additionally, we buy unloved and unused properties and convert/renovate them into stylish, modern beautiful homes for the rental market. We started investing in property after we had our little son to be able to work from home and have more free family time. We now have our own company that provides high quality, mid to long-term stays for professional workers and contractors looking for a good, reliable and comfortable relocation property. I want to share a bit of our story and experience with you all. My husband is born and bread in Torquay and I in South Africa, we have both lived in various different countries and have moved around a lot. When we met in 2016 we decided to settle in the South West of England. We now have a family and I took the opportunity, after maternity leave, to start my own property business as it has been an aspiration all my life. I did not want to go back to a full time job. I observed some members of my family doing well in the property business when i was young but never had the know how and back then I had other priorities. However, I gained a lot of knowledge about property through personal experience but also through the right education and help from my mentors. We have experience in renovations and a lot of life experience and are determined and driven to see our goals through. Our goal is to have a portfolio of a variety of properties all around the South West through rent to rent and by acquiring our own properties to suit the needs and desires of different professionals and contractors.
