Brdo Estate is renowned for its exceptional history and distinguished by its closeness to Ljubljana, the Slovenian capital and international Ljubljana Airport. With almost 500 hectares of surface at the doorstep of the Alps, Brdo Estate boasts in rich natural and cultural heritage. Here you can admire thousands of vegetable and animal species and their numerous habitats, unique beehive endings, scattered hayracks, former castle stables and orangery, open-air sculpture collection, and last but not least the Brdo Castle as the most prestigious building on the estate. In the last decades and years many new buildings joined the historical ones: a four-star Hotel Brdo with its conference utilities, spacious restaurant and wellness centre, equestrian centre, golf practice course, Jezero Hut, Ducks' Island, press centre, and in 2007, as the latest one, modern and technically sophisticated Brdo Congress Centre. Brdo Estate is managed by the public utility State Protocol Services of the Republic Of Slovenia (short JGZ Brdo), which is also responsible for the Strmol Castle, boutique hotel Villa Bled, Villa Podrožnik, and the Slovene Government Palace along with some other smaller facilities all over the state.
