About Psychiatric & Psychological Specialties
Established in 1993, Psychiatric & Psychological Specialties is known for its tradition of providing comprehensive mental health services in a caring, supportive atmosphere. Originally located in St. Joseph, Michigan, our private, outpatient practice has expanded to serving not only Michigan, but Illinois and multiple states across the country through our Telehealth services. We provide remote services and specialize adult mental health care. Led by our senior psychiatrist Dr. Raghu R. Veeramasuneni, a team of licensed psychologists, psychiatrists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners apply a holistic, multidisciplinary care model aimed at capturing a complete picture of the emotional concerns of client. During an initial consultation, each client receives a thorough assessment to identify the treatment approach that would best match his or her needs. Counseling services and medication are available to most clients and may be incorporated into an individualized course of treatment, depending on the client’s needs and preferences. At the core of our comprehensive care model is the belief that each client should be treated with respect and dignity. Choice of services gives the patient control over his or her healing and growth. We empower those who seek care to build healthy relationships, function with greater awareness and self-sufficiency, and lead happier, more fulfilling lives. We believe mental health services achieve the best results when they are comprehensive. Taking the time to gather the information necessary to form a complete picture of an individual’s family history, developmental background, and clinical needs improves the quality and efficacy of treatment. This can only happen in a compassionate atmosphere in which the client comes first.
