PsyOptik is a cyber security fitness platform designed to prepare employees of an organization to be sustainably resilient against social engineering attacks. The core solutions include security training, phone-based social engineering attack simulations, event-based team simulations, security culture surveying, and periodic auditing of current phishing methods. In the training, the program will leverage our natural personality phenotypes to understand our strengths and weaknesses to social engineering attacks. Scams come in all varieties. They can be delivered through email, phone calls, or in rare cases, direct interactions. The techniques exploit weaknesses in our human tendencies, using methods of deception, time constraint, herd mentality, distraction, greed, scarcity, and social compliance. In some demographics, the promise of romance can also be used as a tactic. In the past, many of these attacks were easy to spot with a little bit of training. However, with the advent of AI and the prevalence of individual data on publicly available social media platforms, the technology exists today to have highly personalized scripts written to gain trust and pose as authentic parties through the communications. As such, it is no longer possible to be trained on all the possible schemes used by cyber criminals. The solution is less about memorization and more about understanding our emotions and when they are possibly being manipulated. PsyOptik’s baseline training program takes the participants through a fitness program to build self-awareness of our own human wiring may be working against us. By leveraging the research of personality types, we are able to fast-track the training by leveraging your current strengths and by increasing our rigor in identifying when our weaknesses are being targeted.
