Founded in 1970, PTA have gained the reputation for being a highly competent civil and structural engineering consultancy with adaptability and innovative spirit. As a successful multi-discipline, civil and structural design consultancy, we have design expertise in all building materials and significant experience in design and build contracts. These include concrete frame value engineering, high rise construction, overcoming difficult ground conditions, temporary works, pre-stressed concrete and design and specification of high tolerance industrial floors to name but a few. The practice also has considerable experience in the refurbishment of listed and historic buildings for which it has received heritage awards and commendations. In order to maintain our competitive advantage, we keep abreast of the latest developments in hardware technology and maintain an impressive range of specialist software packages. All our projects are engineered with 3D BIM Revit software. Our clients may be developers, housing associations or trusts, building owners or tenants, contractors, surveyors, architects or quantity surveyors – but, above all, they are the most important people for our business. We take pride in providing a high level of service on which they have learnt to trust and rely and much of our work is repeat business.
