About Public Sector Commission
Our job as the Public Sector Commission is to develop an innovative and future-fit public service for the people of Western Australia. We do this by shaping, building and regulating the public sector so it can tackle the public policy challenges of both today and tomorrow. Shaping is about setting values, standards and expectations. Building is about helping our people do their best work and working with agencies to be the best they can be. Regulating is about providing assurance, oversight and reporting. We do this work with others. Our Commissioner: Sharyn O’Neill was appointed as Public Sector Commissioner in July 2018 following 12 years as Director General of the Department of Education. She is the first woman to undertake the role. Ms O’Neill’s priority as Commissioner is to strengthen and unify the public sector to better serve the needs of the Western Australian community. She is leading a major reform agenda with a focus on sector leadership, talent, diversity, workforce, integrity and capability. General information: We invite the community to engage with us and each other in a respectful, appropriate and considerate way. We do not condone obscene, abusive, offensive or derogatory comments, posts and personal attacks. The Commission reserves the right to moderate and remove comments if they are considered off-topic, repetitive and spam-like in nature or breach the above.
