At Puddle Pirate Co., we celebrate the spirit of the U.S. Coast Guard with quality apparel that honors its legacy of service, resilience, and pride, while fostering unity and giving back to the community. The journey of Puddle Pirate Co. began shortly after Chris' 4 year enlistment in the U.S. Coast Guard. He still had a ton of respect for the service and his shipmates, so he had a desire to rep the branch of the military to which he was a veteran to. Unfortunately, he kept finding flaming eagles, or flaming skulls, or eagle skulls. None of which described his time as a Boatswain's Mate aboard a 378' (CGC GALLATIN–Now property of the Nigerian Navy). Thus Puddle Pirate Co. was formed. After 10 years running the store and in 2023, the first change of command took place. I've long loved the brand created by Chris and now look to take it to the next chapter. I spent 7 years in the USCGR assigned to Port Security Unit 309 as a Boatswain Mate with deployments for Hurricane Katrina Relief and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Being a Coastie runs deep in our family. Prior to my enlistment, my Father also served as a Lt. and my Uncle flew helos and retired after 30 years. A small token to those who risk a lot more than most of the landlubbers their age. Puddle Pirate is inspired by the Guardians of the Sea.
