About Puertas Abiertas Community Resource Center

Puertas Abiertas Community Resource Center (Puertas Abiertas) is a beacon of grassroots, Latinx-led excellence, advocacy, and community-rooted leadership in Napa County founded as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2005. For over 20 years, we’ve served as a trusted home and gateway to vital health, education, and social services for Latinx families, supporting more than 3,500 individuals annually. Approximately 95% of our clients are Latinx, with the majority Spanish-speaking and working in essential sectors like agriculture, hospitality, and wineries. 75% have an annual income below $40,000. Our fully bilingual, bicultural team is deeply grounded in listening to our community and transforming insights into meaningful action. We offer holistic, culturally responsive services that honor our clients’ lived experiences and strengths. From wraparound services to advocacy for equitable access to health, education, community engagement, and social support among others, Puertas Abiertas uplifts and empowers the Latinx community—strengthening the overall well-being and economic vitality of Napa County. Our name—Puertas Abiertas, or “Open Doors”—reflects how we welcome everyone: with dignity, cultural humility, and unwavering commitment. More than a resource center, we are a beacon of resilience, cultural pride, and transformative change.
