About Puerto Rico Green Energy Trust
The Puerto Rico Green Energy Trust seeks to enable access to green energy to improve the quality of life in Puerto Rico. Our vision is a Puerto Rico where everyone has access to clean, affordable and reliable energy. The Trust (aka as PRGET) was created as a nonprofit organization by the Government of Puerto Rico in 2019 to foster and fund research, development and infrastructure projects that promote clean and renewable energy in Puerto Rico. The Trust was enabled as part of the Puerto Rico Energy Public Policy Act (Chapter 3 of PR Law No. 17-2019). It was constituted formally under a Deed of Declaration of Trust that defined its purposes, powers, trustee appointments and named as beneficiaries the people of Puerto Rico.
