About Purpose Engineering

Purpose Engineering helps value-driven companies and organizations in a start-up phase to build processes and management tools for a sustainable scale-up and growth. The thinking is based on industrial, established models for business process engineering but with the focus switched from products and services to the organization's values and people. We help implementing routines, processes and tools that can transform the "drive" into concrete and efficient operations. The philosophy is to see the everyday work as the ultimate carrier of the organization's ideas and values, and on the basis of that create consistent work routines, financial control, appropriate IT tools, thoughtful communication routes, and more. Purpose Engineering can participate in strategic work as well as in development work. PE can also perform selected or ongoing tasks in the business and be a resource supplement before new routines and systems are fully integrated by the organization's own resources. TEAM Purpose Engineering is run by Claes Nordén, MSc in Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology, with a Master in International Management from EM Lyon. He worked as project manager and consultant at the PR agency Kreab Gavin Anderson in 1985-92 and then 15 years as communications manager in the French / global telecom group Alcatel/Nexans. He was CEO of the Ekskäret Foundation from its start in 2009 until 2014. Also engaged in the company, as a non-executive board member, is Jahrl Stefan Norberg. Stefan is an entrepreneur & corporate developer within technology/IT field and has a broad cultural and international company background, with longer assignments in several countries (Sweden, France, Switzerland, Italy, UK and Germany). His company Abaxum ( www.abaxum.com) is based in Paris where he also lives.
