PVT Plasma und Vakuum Technik GmbH, with its world headquarter in Bensheim, near Frankfurt, Germany, is a leader in the field of ion- and plasma-assisted vacuum coating technologies. PVT is a leading manufacturer of industrial PVD (physical vapor deposition) coating equipment depositing high performance coatings with highly wear - , erosion - , corrosion – resistant but also tailored electrical and tribological properties. Our expertise is in the fields of arc evaporation, specifically HiParc (High Power Pulsed Arc), magnetron sputtering, HiPIMS and PECVD. PVT pioneered these technologies for applications in different industries such as cutting tools, dies and moulds, automotive and aero engines. PVT’s expertise is in the design, manufacture and integration of industrial coating systems for the deposition of nano-structured, multi-layered metal – nitrides such as TiN, TiC,N, AlTiN, CrN, AlCrN, Si – and B – doped coatings but also different types of DLC (diamond-like-carbon) coatings and many others. PVT has developed a series of batch type coating systems but also extremely high productive, continuously working in-line coating systems for mass production.
