About Q-Point

Q-Point is an independent Dutch consultancy that specializes in consultancy for agrifood businesses (from producer to retailer), donors and public institutions, in all types and regions of agrifood markets. Q-Point works for the Dutch and international public and private sector. The company has a strong track record in food safety (HACCP, BRC, IFS, Global G.A.P., GMP, ISO 22000), traceability, integrated quality management (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 26000), value chain management & analysis and market/business development (e.g. development, coordination and project management of international value chain projects). Since 2003 Q-Point has been active in certification, quality management and value and supply chain projects with retailers, processors and farmers, focusing on cooperation and communication (data collection and exchange) of chain partners and development of guides to good hygiene practices. Q-Point has led many (multidisciplinary) projects and consortia financed by RVO (Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs), EP-Nuffic and IFC with a focus on institutional development of governmental organizations such as Ministries, Inspection Bodies and NGOs, in the agrofood and water sectors. Since 2009 Q-Point has been involved in 22 projects in East Africa in the NICHE–EP-Nuffic, TMT, WB/IFC and RVO K2K programs. Q-Point has extensive experience in working with consortium constructions and leading multidisciplinary international teams of experts including local expertise. It has proven expertise in applicable methodologies for collecting quantitative and qualitative data in the agrofood sector in the Netherlands, EMEA and Asia.
