Today, we are one of the largest and most trusted centers dedicated to Arabic language acquisition and cultural immersion activities in North Africa. Each year, more than 1200 students and professionals from around the world come to Qalam, not only to study in its year-round Arabic language program, but also to take advantage of immersion and volunteer activities which introduce them to Arab and Moroccan culture. Our commitment to providing Arabic language learners a top notch immersion experience is enhanced by partnerships with other leading Moroccan higher education institutions. You can rest assured that Arabic courses taught at Qalam wa Lawh emphasize building a solid foundation in communication skills, and are designed to ensure that learners are confident using the language. Qalam Campus Our state of the art facility is located in the heart of the urban Agdal neighborhood. Complete with large classrooms, library, restaurant, residences within walking distance, Qalam wa Lawh Center is the ideal place to study Arabic. Qalam Teachers Each classroom is led by an experienced and enthusiastic native speaking Arabic teacher. Our teachers all hold advanced degrees in Arabic literature, Law, or Applied Linguistics. Some of our instructors are also former Fulbright scholars or have other international experience. All of our teachers undergo three months of specialized training in teaching Arabic as a foreign language and an additional three months as a teacher's assistant before leading a class on their own. This training encourages teachers to work together as a community here at Qalam, as well as in their own endeavors. In fact, many of our teachers are also researchers and trainers in the field of Arabic studies.
